Delete your NXO account
This page explains how to request the deletion of your NXO account, the application developed by Riverlab S.L.U., as well as which data is deleted, which data we may retain and for how long.
1. Delete your account from the app
The fastest way to delete your NXO account is to do it yourself from within the app. Follow these steps:
- Open the NXO app on your iOS or Android device and sign in.
- Go to Profile from the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the settings gear icon at the top of your profile.
- Select Delete account and confirm the action when the app prompts you.
Once you confirm, your account and the associated data are immediately removed from our database, as described below.
2. Delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access it, you can ask us to delete your account by sending an email to riverlabsl@gmail.com with the subject “Delete NXO account” and including:
- The email address you used to sign up to NXO.
- Your first and last name, as they appear on your profile.
- An explicit confirmation that you are requesting the permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
We may ask for additional information solely to verify your identity and avoid deleting the wrong account.
3. Data that is deleted
When we process your request, we permanently delete all personal information linked to your account:
- Account data: first name, last name, email address and profile picture handled by our identity provider (Clerk).
- Profile data: date of birth, bio, headline, skills, availability, remote/in-person preference, links, location and phone number.
- Generated content: projects you have created, connection requests sent and received, matches and messages.
- Device data associated with your account: push notification token, platform, app version and operating system.
4. Data we retain and for how long
For security and diagnostic purposes, we retain the following information for a limited period, after which it is automatically deleted:
- Technical logs (server logs, errors and IP addresses): up to 30 days after the account is deleted.
- Encrypted database backups: may contain a copy of your data until the backup rotation cycle overwrites them, within a maximum of 30 days.
We do not retain your data for commercial purposes once the account is deleted. If a competent authority required us to keep specific information to comply with a legal obligation, we would let you know when responding to your request.
5. Time to process the request
Requests made from within the app are executed immediately. Requests received by email are handled within a maximum of 30 calendar days from receipt, in line with the GDPR. We will confirm by email once the deletion has been completed.
